Carob powder can substitute cacao or chocolate. It is a natural sweetener rich in calcium, phosphorus, potassium, carbohydrates, protein, magnesium, vitamin A, B and D, and various metals. It is of ahigher nutritional value than chocolate and contains less than half of cacao’s fat.
For a chocolate beverage, replace 2 scoops of chocolate with 3 scoops of carob powder. For cacao, replace it with equal quantity of carob powder. Locust Bean Gum (E410) 150gr.
Locust bean gum is a structural polysaccharide found in the walls of fruits and vegetables (ie in the skin) but also in the kernel (seed).
